Woodstock, GA Family Photographer – Mother’s Day Surprise – Walter Family

Mother’s Day approaches and most dads think about cards. Maybe flowers. Sometimes a certificate to the spa.

But not this dad.

This dad rocks. Ken planned a secret photography session with his two kids and their puppy Tucker.

We met at Rope Mill park and had a blast together. And Tucker told me all about his thoughts on being in front of the camera.

These guys were risk takers. They were fun makers. They were, um, I’m out of rhymes. They were cool. They were silly.

They walked narrow crossings over rushing water and ventured out on shoals in the river.

I fell on the banks of the river, gave my camera a mud bath, and kept on working. After this session, my camera (and the lens on it at the time of the aforementioned mud bath) spent two weeks in the shop getting a tune up and all the muck cleaned out of it.

As a mom, I can’t imagine a better Mother’s Day present than being surprised by my husband with photographs of the three people who live under the same roof and fill my heart.

Well done, Ken. I hope your wife loves the album filled with the photographs we made together.

Happy Mother’s Day, Mrs. Walter. I hope you know how much your husband and children love you!
