AJ’s Dolphin Sunset Cruise In Destin, FL
It’s fall break for my kids and we have spent the week in Destin. Mucho good times with friends. Plenty of time on the beach and in the gorgeous water of the Emerald Coast. We went on a dolphin cruise earlier in the week. While we saw plenty of dolphins on that cruise, it wasn’t very fun. Perhaps we were spoiled from a fabulous experience with AJ’s Water Adventures this past June with fun banter, touristy type tips on where to eat, have fun, and homes on the harbor belonging to celebrities, and plenty of rockin tunes and dancing. It was my girl child’s birthday and after taking her zip-lining this afternoon, I asked if she would like a do-over on the dolphin cruise. She didn’t even hesitate in nodding and telling me YES!
Our captain was Nick (our same captain from June) and Dexter was his partner this evening. They were fantastic hosts of the cruise, ensuring everyone had a great time with fun facts during the harbor tour, free drinks, plenty of dolphin sightings in the gulf, and dance music that got everyone on their feet.
Before we even got out of the harbor, they had seagulls flying close to the boat. My kids were fascinated by these birds flying so close.
Crackers were shared with guests to hold up for the sea gulls. While my kids held out crackers, they would shriek and retract their arms when any bird came close.
While we were out, we saw another one of AJ’s fleet. Such big sails!
Nick was awesome at finding the dolphins and then getting them to swim right next to our boat!
