Gayle + Adam Engagement Session At Atlantic Station {Atlanta, GA Engagement Photographer}
I was thrilled when Gayle asked if we could do her engagement session at Atlantic Station in downtown Atlanta. I just knew there would be TONS of fabulous backdrops for making these photographs, but what I found is that these two stole the show. Gayle and Adam were so. stinkin. awesome.
When I arrived, I drove around for forever. Forever, I tell you. I didn’t realize there was a race going on and I was at first worried that the limited number of parking spots and extreme number of people milling around was going to be a challenge. But it ended up working out fabulously….because Atlantic Station had coned off internal streets and we were able to shoot right in the middle of the street. So fun! As we finished getting these shots, the cones were getting removed and the streets were opening up. We were just in time! Then we moved to where they met each other for the first time outside an awesome restaurant called STRIP.
We were also fortunate enough to get the assistance of the Atlanta Police Department to stop traffic for a few shots.
These two were constantly touching each other. Holding hands. Hugging. Holding each others’ faces. I loved it. Photographing people in love makes my heart sing. It erases images from the news and restores my faith in humanity that there is so much more good in this world.
See what I mean?
I love this arch. And the cloudy skies. It doesn’t feel like Atlanta to me. It feels like we were transplanted over to Italy with awesome architecture.
Even on this bridge with the gorgeous condos behind them, I felt like we were in another city while they danced and danced.
And then we went back to STRIP and got permission from their awesome management to shoot on their rooftop and in front on their bench. This morning was perfect in every way. The promised forecast of rain pushed out, we started off with some great sun, Atlantic Station security was phenomenal (as was their property management in granting permission to shoot in this gorgeous location!), the assistance of the APD and then STRIP giving us a few minutes to get the shots this couple wanted….perfection. Could not be more thankful for the rock star status we felt we received!
Adam + Gayle? You were so incredibly wonderful to work with and I can. not. wait. to photograph your wedding at the Piedmont Room later this week!
