Newborn Photographs | Atlanta
I got a text one evening from Joshelin. She wanted me to know her good friends Liz and Andy were expecting and they wanted newborn photographs. Squee! Joshelin is good people. Her husband Sean is good people. These four adults had been friends since high school. And a newborn baby to fawn over. All of this is an incredible combination for me.
I met Joshelin and Sean in Peachtree City years ago for their engagement photographs. It turns out, we went to the same high school. And had the same world history teacher who had a profound impact on all of us. These two reached out again for newborn photographs after their baby girl was born. So having Joshelin recommend me to close friends was truly an honor.
From the moment I talked to Liz on the phone, I knew this was going to be great. We talked about the kind of newborn photographs I create. I always want people to make sure they know I’m all about documenting the newly expanded family, their interactions, and the little details. None of that posing business that requires multiple sets of hands adjusting and holding a baby while they sleep only to photoshop out all the adults’ extremities. Because I like photographing all humans exactly as they are and not morphing them into things they are not.
The bonus for this newborn session was the grandparents joining towards the end for multi-generational photographs. As well as Liz’s sister’s family with their baby. So much fun getting multiple families together for photos since it seems to really only happen on wedding days.
