New Year’s Eve Wedding At The Georgian Terrace – Liz + Jason Got Married!

Liz and Jason might appear to be the perfect American couple. And they just might be. They are charismatic, easy-going, and engaging people who draw you in with their kindness, wit, and warmth. I loved working with them at Piedmont Park during their engagement session. They danced on a dock without missing a beat while ducks walked around them. And on their wedding day in the middle of their formal portraits, they made it through swimmingly in the rain and in spite of drive by photobombers who wouldn’t pull their car up and get out of the photograph.

But what stands out more than anything is how important family is to these two. Family was close and needed throughout the wedding day. From Liz’s mom and sister helping with her gown, to Liz’s uncle walking her down the aisle, to her Grandma’s joy, to Jason’s boys being included in everything. It was evident that family relationships are not just enjoyed, but valued.

So much planning goes into a wedding, especially one with approximately 150 guests. Having an experienced coordinator like Laura Wright at Soiree South ensures everything will run smoothly, whether your wedding is at the Georgian Terrace or Barnsley Gardens. Laura was phenomenal at keeping vendors on track and in the right place at the right time. The Cobalt String Trio accompanied the wedding ceremony. The Alpharetta Flower Marketcreated the most beautiful floral arrangments. Jordan was the DJ from Amp’d Entertainment who kept the dance floor rockin all. night. long. The Frosted Pumpkin outdid themselves with the wedding cake. The Moore Agency skillfully handled hair and makeup onsite at the Georgian Terrace for Liz and her bridesmaids. And Reverend Spencer Turnipseed was their officiant. I could not have provided such a wide variety of images from different vantage points and simultaneous time frames in different locations if it weren’t for the skill of my lovely second shooter, Traci.

It was an evening filled with joy and an exuberant celebration as Liz + Jason started their marriage. I was honored to document their excitement throughout their wedding night, all the way through the New Year’s countdown and their exit under sparklers in the pouring rain.

Liz + Jason, I am wishing you all the best as married people. I know your laid back attitudes will make easy work of the challenges you are thrown. And your appreciation for each other will make the good times that much more valuable.
