Georgian Terrace And Piedmont Park Atlanta Engagement Session – Liz + Jason ENGAGED!
I met Liz + Jason almost two months ago at a Starbucks on West Paces Ferry to talk about their wedding at the Georgian Terrace on New Year’s Eve.
It’s fair to say that I liked them right away. They’re an easy going couple and it’s fun watching them interact.
Towards the end of our meeting, we discussed the merits of an engagement session.
It seemed like Jason wanted to do an engagement session, but I could tell Liz was immediately hesitant.
Her body language closed down and I could feel the nervous energy. I know what that’s like. Just thinking about something that makes me anxious and feeling my heart rate go up.
She admitted she was nervous about the thought of even being in front of the camera and looking awkward. And I think that’s how so many of us feel when thinking about making photographs.
We left it open ended at the meeting and it was a few days before Liz got back to me and said they wanted to do an engagement session. I was pumped!
She made a Pinterest board filled with engagement session images which she loved. That gave me a great idea of what photographs pulled her in and how to help shape their engagement session at the Georgian Terrace and Piedmont Park.
We were constantly moving. And chatting. It was pretty low key.
These two constantly had me laughing.
They were willing to try different things.
They had each other laughing.
And their energy was the best!
They’ve got me so pumped about photographing their wedding come New Year’s Eve!
I just know it’s going to be an evening filled with fabulous people and moments!
But what I really love is the day after their engagement session, Liz texted me and said, “I’m so glad we did it!”
That always feels like a major win to put people at ease, create an excellent experience, and know they not only have no regrets but are glad they went ahead with creating photographs together.
Giving them back their images this past week was even better. There may have been tears. And squeals. And again. Confirmations that they were so glad they did the engagement session and how much they LOVE their photographs. It’s good stuff.
Here are Liz’s words:
The BEST experience one could ever ask for! I don’t where to begin with all the positive and amazing things we have to say about Kelley. It’s obvious that this is a huge passion of hers and it’s evident in her work and dedication. Her photographs of our engagement brought me to tears and I can’t wait for our wedding day. I was very nervous for our photo session, but within minutes, Kelley had us laughing and feeling at ease. Her photographs aren’t just pictures, but a story of special moments that take place. She is truly a wonderful person and amazing photographer!
I couldn’t ask for a better review in knowing my people are thrilled with their experience so far.
Liz + Jason? I can’t wait for your wedding on NYE. I’m already counting down the days!
