Sometimes.

When I deliver products to my clients.

I get to watch them turn the pages.

With their sisters gathered close, looking at each page.

And Mom nodding and repeating these photographs are so lovely.

While their chocolate lab smothers me in kisses and tail wags and butt wiggles.

While mouthing my fingers and being told he does that and leads them all around the house.

By his mouth.

I don’t think there’s a better feeling.

Than when Mom says again, “These are so lovely. I have her canvas hanging in my office. I love it.”
