Do you like the photographer?  Through getting to know them on their blog or phone/skype/in-person conversations, do you connect?  That’s important because they will be with you all. day. long.  If you like them, then that means you’ll be more comfortable in front of their camera.  And if you’re more comfortable, then it will show in your photographs.  Wouldn’t you rather be photographed by a friend than a stranger?  Knowing your photographer can make a big difference. Like when you’re contemplating cutting up your wedding dress less than an hour before the ceremony, you’re thinking more about how you will tell your mom and sister that you’re not crazy.
