Alley Bei Photography Session
The Alley Bei photography session was nothing short of amazing. She is a talented and whimsical Indi singer songwriter. Alley had a vision of what she wanted for her upcoming album entitled “We’ll Still Wear White.” She wanted it to show the transition of her past self with unfulfilled dreams to her current place in evolving. Her music and attitude seem to have shifted. Alley’s songs feature her playing multiple instruments and all of her own vocals for this newest album.

Alley Bei Photography Session Begins
Alley started off wearing her old wedding dress and a more serious attitude. She moved from one of the sofa to the other. And then to the floor in different positions in front of the sofa. We knew she wanted an image of what appears to be her past self interacting with her current, much freer and happier self.
Alley Bei Photography Session Continues
Lighting needed to be consistent from this portion of her shoot to the next because we would be merging two images together. I needed to make certain my lights were consistently firing with every click of my camera shutter as I was not relying on the outdoor light constantly changing as clouds moved. I kept my camera on a tripod and at the same height throughout to also ensure consistency in images.
Photography Session Planning
For the Alley Bei photography session, there were multiple conversations and a face-to-face meeting prior to her shoot. We discussed her vision and how we could achieve that together for her new album cover. Logistics of where and when, along with what kind of assistance would be helpful in set up and execution, were covered. We talked about turnaround timelines to make sure she’d have the images for her album on time. Alley was a quick decision maker for selecting the two images to merge together for her album before I sent them off to my re-toucher.
