Etowah High School Senior Photos

Gabbi’s mom reached out to me in early spring about making photos of her Etowah high school senior. We talked about products and pricing. Locations, dates, and outfits. The original date and time got changed due to weather. And even as we were driving to Marietta Square for Gabbi’s photos on the day of, it was sprinkling. We decided to wait out the rain and the weather cleared up nicely, even though the umbrella came out near the start.

Avoiding Rain During Senior Photos

Because it was sprinkling in the beginning, we started inside the gazebo where Gabbi could stay dry while I photographed her. She started off in a dress, which was out of character and totally her decision. I think it’s cool when people are willing to step outside of their comfort zone as they think about the photographs their future self will appreciate. We made photographs with and without her letterman jacket throughout her portrait session in Marietta Square.

Planning Gabbi’s Etowah High School Senior Photo Session

Before making Gabbi’s Etowah High School senior photos, she and her mom had shared senior photographs they liked. This helped me better understand what they wanted so I could guide Gabbi in every location we worked in around the square. She did a great job in bringing the props she wanted and going through outfit changes during her session. It was a solid collaboration between Gabbi, her mom, and myself in creating the senior photos she wanted. And I loved that!

Choosing Favorite Images

We met up at a later date for them to see the edited photos in person and make purchasing decisions. I was thrilled that they loved so many of the images we made together. Which also made it difficult to narrow down the photographs they wanted initially to include in Gabbi’s album. I was able to make it easier to compare similar images and locations for them to choose Gabbi’s absolute favorites. She then got to choose the color of her album and what it said on the cover. I loved getting to put the final product in Gabbi’s mom’s hands and wished I could have seen Gabbi’s reaction. I was told she loved it. 🙂
